Burning while urination but gone after drinking water?

I have been experiencing this problem from past 6 months now .just burning while urinating but when i drink water means 2-3 bottles (750 ml) a day then there is nothing no burning i went to urologist and he just say there s nothing it will go away just drink water ... Yesterday my brother had lithotripsy with a stent placed. He was told to remove the stent himself on Wednesday. Is that a common practice-to have the patient remove his own stent? His Urologist is 1.5 hrs from his home, so I'm thinking that's why. I've just never heard of that and I'm afraid from him. Does anyone know anything about this practice?

A very rare question about my penis....?

Have you had surgery to stop your testicles from moving into the abdomen during sex?

My right testicle moves into my abdomen during sex and it is very painful. My urologist has explained a surgery to me wherein the muscle that pulls the testicle up will be stripped so that my testicles will not be pulled during orgasm. Is there ANYTHING they can do if surgery isn't an option?

My future father-in-law was just diagnosed with a hernia and hydrocele. He's been told that both require surgery to repair. I tore my frenulum, what now?

A few days ago I torn my frenulum during intercourse. At first there was a very sharp pain and when I pulled out I saw a huge amount of blood. My 7 year old with 9th UTI and 1 kidney infection?

My 7 year old has just been DX'd with her 9th UTI, she's also been hospitalized for 4 days with a really bad kidney infection (last year). The last 5 UTI's have all been in a row. As soon as she gets off the Sulfa (shes allergic to AMOX) she gets another UTI, or the original UTI was never gone. So now shes going to see my urologist. I have to see a urologist cause I've had Intersticial Cystitis since the age of 18, and my bladder pain is just getting worse. Ive been making sure shes wiping correctly, drinking enough water, no baths, and still UTI after UTI. She plays soccer and has soccer practice 2 times a week, and during practice she sometimes will be in so much pain, today she was in so much pain she was hunched over almost crying under her left rib cage. She also has a HX of bowel problems and shes on IBS medicine for that. But none of her UTI's or not even her kidney infection has caused her pain under her left rib cage. When I took her to the ER they didnt run any blood work, just checked her urine and found blood, luekos and nitrates. But the fact that they didnt address her pain, upset me. Anyways.... What reasons could cause a 7 year old that has IBS, this many UTI's??? It worries me!!!

Fallout 3 DLC Disc 2 wont work?!? Please help.?

I just finished Fallout 3 today actually...and as a PC gamer was indescribably disappointed with the ending. But that is beside the point. I have found an answer though, I have the game of the year addition, and The DLC pack: Broken steel makes the fallout game un-ended. Though, to my sour luck, a problem arose downloading the Disc 2. I cant even download it. The disc vibrates in my disc drive, like a normal disc would, then just stops. Itdoesn'tt even bring anything up. I have no idea what to paint. I have asked people, but they suggest the overly done things like a flower, a landscape, a field with sheep and a dog. Bladder stone home relief?

Okay, so I am gonna give you a little back story. In 2005 they found a kidney stone the size of a golf ball. I was pregnant, so I couldn't have it removed. Due to not having insurance, I wasn't able to have it removed, and I ended up with a calcified stent and bladder stones. Last year they removed the bladder stones and were trying to find a way to get rid of the rest, when I became pregnant, so it had to be postponed. Once the baby was born in Feb, I got into my PCP and was referred to a urologist. After having a few tests and what not done, my surgery to remove the stone (that now takes up 90% of my kidney) along with the stent and the newly developed bladder stones. None of these were bothering me until about 2 weeks ago, when my bladder stones started to act up a bit. Now, it wasn't any worse than a UTI, so I dealt with it. Now, it's gotten so bad that no matter what I do, I feel like someone is stabbing me in my crotch. When I have the urge to pee, it feels like they are twisting the knife, and when I actually pee, it feels like there is a blow torch down there. I called the doctor, who pulled me out of work until after my surgery. I have percocet, which helps a little, but not completely. Dissolving the stones is completely impossible, since the smallest of my stones is 2 inches long. I obviously can't pass them. My surgery is scheduled on Tuesday, so I only have a few days left, but I need some relief until then. I am not allowed to take motrin because of the surgery, but that wasn't helping anyway. The percocets help a little, but not enough. I take baths when I can, but I have 5 kids, so that isn't always possible. I've been sitting down for 3 days now, and hurting so bad I can barely take care of myself, let alone my kids (my mom has been here helping when she can, which is when I get my baths in). My question, basically, is fairly straight forward... is there ANYTHING that I can do to ease the pain for the next few days until my surgery? I'd like to be able to actually play with my kids instead of just sitting and watching them play. My kidney doesn't hurt, only the bladder stones hurt right now.

Chronic prostatitis is very hard to cure if not impossible to completely cure and I had it for about 10 or 12 years. It just kept flaring up every couple years but I took a drug called Bactrim and it cleared up the symptoms in about 10 days but I usually kept taking the drug for a month. The generic name for the drug is sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim and it's not nearly as expensive as the brand name but it's the "best drug" for chronic prostatitis. Cipro is also a good drug but I don't think it works as well as Bactrim, although it might work better for some people.

Could you still have Interstitial Cystitis and have a normal cystoscopy?

I've had abdominal pain for a long time now. I have a history of kidney stones, have had surgery to determine if I had endometriosis. Today, I had a cystoscope and the Urologist said that the inside of my bladder looked good. I frequently have blood in my urine and can always tell if its a kidney stone or not. This abdominal pain feels nothing like kidney stones. They found a large, inflamed mass on the outside of my colon. The OBGYN thought it was an inflamed diverticulum but I had a colonoscopy and he said that it was not diverticulitis. At this point, they don't know what the mass is and have made a decision that it needs to come out. They said they needed to know what it was or what it could be. During a pelvic exam, the OBGYN felt around and told me to tell him if, when, and where my pain could be felt during the exam. He felt around and I jumped back because I felt a horrible pain. He said that it was the bladder that he had been touching. He said that he thought it was Interstitial Cystitis, the Urologist said that the cystoscope in the bladder was normal. I read online that even if a cystoscopy shows no abnormalitites, it doesn't mean that it isn't interstitial cystitis. Its hard to diagnose because sometimes all you feel is pain in the bladder. I'm just curious if that's true. Could it still be interstitial cystitis even with a normal cystoscope and a normal cystogram? Any ideas?

I have a history of kidney stones, along with a kidney infection. My urologist sais that I have scar tissue on my kidney from it streching so much with the infection. Latley I have been experiencing some kidney cramping that comes and goes. The pain isn't crutial but it's enough to be noticed. Help! I Am Having Problems With a Dried Out Penis?

Let me start out by saying that I was only on Accutane for a period of one month. My penis is really dry and it has been this way for months. Overactive bladder, treatment not working, peeing nonstop?

Plastibell device failure?

My son had a plastibell device used with his circumcision that wouldn't come after the the eight days that it was supposed to. My Pediatrician wasn't able to get it off and referred me to the emergency room in a children's hospital. After spending two and a half hours there the doctor wasn't able to cut it off. She then referred me to a urologist who was finally able to get it off, but not without tons of blood and horrific screaming from my newborn. After cauterizing the wound there was a possibility there would need to be stitches and then surgery. Thankfully the bleeding stopped on its own. Now I have to wait two weeks before I will know if there will be any scarring or the possibility of surgery. Do I have any type of lawsuit on my hands I really don't want this happening to any other newborn baby?

My fiance has a daughter from a previous relationship she is now 2 years old. My fiance and I would like for him to have custody because he loves his daughter very much and makes sure that she has food and is in a safe environment. He wants what is best for her but every effort he has made to get custody has been more and more disappointing and my fiance is getting a little discouraged even though he continues to try. the mother continues to threaten that she will not let him have his weekends and she threatens to take the child completely away and call police if he tries to see his daughter if he continues to try to take custody. I tell him she can't do that but I have never dealt with custody cases before and I don't know how to help him get custody other than give him my support and help him continue to not get discouraged....what can we do?

I wet the bed almost every night and it is not just once. I do not usually wake up till morning and it seems I wet several times as my diaper is totally soaked through. I know that my bladder is weak but it has not been a big issue until the last few months. I only had occasional accidents at night mainly when i was sick. But now it has been ever night. I'm a 25 yr old female. I've been having problems with frequent urination and urgency. My urologist thought it was overactive bladder. I was put on medication and that problem seemed to slow down. Then I started having other problems. I would get these weird muscle spasms in my vagina and urethra. And now I experience pain in my back and side. I am a 25 year old female and I have leukocytes in my urine. I have visited my physician and was prescribed Macrobid for 3 days and then for 5 days, and Bactrim for 7 days. The burning and frequency of urination remained. I tried acupuncture, but I still have the symptoms. I also tried Tea Tree Oil treatment just tonight. I'm starting to be very anxious and I'm concerned I may have IC- interstitial cystitis. I am going to a urologist in a week to be checked. I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation or knows information regarding my issue. And also if anyone knows of any home remedies that may help assuage some of my discomfort. Lately, I have felt depressed and had difficulty at work. Shining any light on this would be a great help to me. Thanks, Mo

How come I can't get over and stop being sad that my closest friend who is a girl got married?

I have a friend that I've known for about 5 years and I used to have a crush on her but it faded away about a year and a half ago. Then today I saw her uncle at his sandwich shop and he told me that she got married and I did feel a little sad and disappointed. I lost contact with her about 6 months ago after she changed her number and never told me her new number. ve had left flank pain for about a year. Between now and then, I've had: bladder, kidney, and UTI infections. I'm a sixteen year old girl and I've been suffering from frequent urination for awhile now but over the past few months it's become increasingly worse. I drink only a glass of milk before school (in terms of liquids) and I have a hard time holding it for more than an hour and a half. I can't excercise because it makes me thirsty and when I drink 20 oz. from my water bottle, I go and pee like ten times in a row (like every five minutes). I've been tested for diabetes, a UTI, and all sorts of allergies and things (I also suffer from stomach pain) and they've all come back negative. Please give me any ideas for a diagnosis. I'm seeing a urologist soon but it'd be nice to hear what you guys have to say. This is a really embarrassing thing that I have to deal with so I'm willing to look everywhere for an answer. Will doing weights make you gain weight?

i started last week trying to start a more healthy lifestyle starting over this summer. i was going to lead a more healthy diet (nothing low carbs or anything, just doing the right serving sizes and the right amounts of the right food groups & so far i've stuck to it), doing cardio, and doing some weight lifting. i figured after the first week i'd lose at least 1-2 pounds. but instead i gained 3. should i be disappointed, or is this just muscle from the weights? i mean i haven't done any living since basketball season, and that was about 5 months ago.

I went and had a urinalysis and stool analysis from my doctor. I went to the urologist and had an index and prostate check and they figure I am ok. I had some pain and mild prostatis but wondering if I should not get a PSA done? Doctor said you can get it done but there nothing going on just age.

Help trying to tame a dwarf hamster :(?

Ouch. I've been really patient, but he just doesn't like to be touched or anything. I've gave him treats from between my fingers every day. He can handle that. So I tried putting my hand in a little every night. He just bites my thumb. Finally he stopped that, so tonight I tried to put a treat on my hand and let him climb to get it. He attacked my thumb, he kept biting and wouldn't get off. It hurts so bad, it drew blood.and now I don't even want to try. I think that in context it will be really powerful. Especially if we come to know the character and he is relatable. I think that many people have been in this state and the way you've written it takes the reader to a time where they've felt such frustration.

ALRIGHT. Im 15 yrs old and I think there is something wrong with my penis, maybe my prostate. I sometimes have difficulty peeing and somwtimes get pains around the area. I havent told anyone about the difficulty, even when I try it is too embarrasing. I went to the urologist, he said he didnt see anything wrong, and I also had a sonogram of my testicles, everything turned out fine. But Im afraid. The doc said masturbation wasnt harmful in anyway really, so I doubt it is that. Buuuut, when I started masturbating I sometimes closed the hole in my penis so the semen wouldnt come out. I was young, I didnt know it was suppossed to be like that. Could that have been harmful???

Okay, first off, doing drugs and thinking you really ****** up doesn't make you a bad person. So don't think it does. Second, I honestly believe that just because she was your first love and you didn't know any others doesn't mean that you don't love her. I think you do, from the way you are speaking about her. I believe maybe you are definitely confused and just maybe you need to give her space. I know that might be hard, considering you're in love. Trust me, I've been there. You never know, maybe she still has major feelings for you too. Maybe she is just going with this other man to get over you after loving you for so long. But I can't speak for her because I don't know her side of the story. I may be totally wrong. Also, don't beat yourself up for "waiting too long". There's nothing you can do. But I don't think you should cut contact. Even if she IS in love with this other man, it doesn't mean you two have to stop talking or not be friends. And maybe that's what is good for you and for her. Who knows? Maybe eventually, she'll come out and tell you she still loves you. since monday i have been on antibiotics for a UTI. my results came back negative but i am still taking the antibiotics, and all my symptoms went away but today i started getting back pain. its on my side on the left and it hurt more when i move or turn the wrong way. i jogged on treadmill today and i felt fine it actually went away and then came back. i have a doc appointment with a urologist on june 27 but does this sound serious?

Anyone know of any intact friendly pediatricians in Texas?

My son is currently 4 years old and is "intact". A few months ago our pedi recommended we circumcise him because his penis would balloon when he pees and also because he has "too much foreskin". When we took him to the urologist, she said the same thing. I do not believe in circumcision... not one bit. My wife on the other hand is a little skeptical of leaving him intact. He is potty trained but just for the past 2 days he's been bed wetting at night... My wife thinks it could be because of his intact penis. She also believes that something might be wrong with his kidney/bladder because he is "intact", which is something our pedi said might happen :/. Unfortunately we have no intact friendly pedis here in my area, so I was just wondering if you guys can name some here in texas. Last thing I want to do is circumcise my son. Thanks!

Nephrologist or Urologist?

For the past year, I've had: nausea and flank pain almost daily, several UTI's, blocked ureter, kidney stones, blood in urine, and bladder cramps. My urologist can't find anything wrong. Would a nephrologist be more of help?

How is kidney reflux treated in adults (I'm 32)? It is SO painful!!?

I had a micturating cystogram on Monday, I actually couldn't pee during it (it's really difficult to pee standing up in front of strangers) but the radiologist was able to diagnosis reflux because the pee went a way up my (left) ureter. This usually hurts and gets worse and worse until I actually pee, I get a feeling of pressure in my kidney area too and it's all relieved when I pee. It's been like this for maybe 8 years or so. She asked me a lot of specific detailed questions and said it wasn't necessary for her to actually see what happens when I pee because just the bit going up the ureter was enough to make a diagnosis, I assume all the questions were to give her a better idea of the severity. What do they do to treat this? I've had a 24hr pee evaluation about 4 years ago which showed I was leaking protein and a couple of levels of something or other were too high or too low, I can't remember, and my calcium output was slightly low. I've also had a ureteroscopy which showed my left ureter was tortuous and I had a narrow renal junction, and I've been told I've got scarring in the kidney as a result of having pyelonephritis a few times and frequent kidney infections, and during surgery for severe endometriosis my left ureter was found to be caught up in a mass of adhesions but has now been freed up- I hoped this would sort the problem out but apparently not. 4 years ago my kidney function was 45% in the left, 55% in the right which I understand is normal. I get frequent UTIs too which I take antibiotics every day to prevent. I'm seeing my urologist on Tuesday, I'm just after a bit of info to stop me second-guessing everything and driving myself insane. All I can find on the internet seems to be about this is children. Does anyone have any info or experience with this? Thanks in advance.
