Chronic prostatitis (Pelvic Pain syndrome)?

Chronic prostatitis is very hard to cure if not impossible to completely cure and I had it for about 10 or 12 years. It just kept flaring up every couple years but I took a drug called Bactrim and it cleared up the symptoms in about 10 days but I usually kept taking the drug for a month. The generic name for the drug is sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim and it's not nearly as expensive as the brand name but it's the "best drug" for chronic prostatitis. Cipro is also a good drug but I don't think it works as well as Bactrim, although it might work better for some people.
