Prostate- the ongoing analysis?

I went and had a urinalysis and stool analysis from my doctor. I went to the urologist and had an index and prostate check and they figure I am ok. I had some pain and mild prostatis but wondering if I should not get a PSA done? Doctor said you can get it done but there nothing going on just age.
