Can i varicocele cause testicular cancer?

im 16 years old and i've had a varicocele probably about 2 years now. and ive notice shrinkage in my testicles and it hurts everyday. ranging from a minor ache to feeling like my testicles are going to explode. my doctor is setting up an appointment with a urologist. so i have two questions. can a varicocele cause testicular cancer? and what will the urologist do when i go there?
