Have you had surgery to stop your testicles from moving into the abdomen during sex?

My right testicle moves into my abdomen during sex and it is very painful. My urologist has explained a surgery to me wherein the muscle that pulls the testicle up will be stripped so that my testicles will not be pulled during orgasm. The only downside is that my testicles will hang a bit lower and will not move up and down based on temperature anymore. Has anyone had this procedure? I am going to get a second opinion from another urologist, but I would like to find out if someone else can say what it is like. I am leaning towards getting the surgery done because the pain makes sex very unpleasant.
