In your opinion, what is the biggest struggle in your life at the moment, or has been the biggest struggle?

I am wanting to write a story/novel. I have almost everything planned out. Everything except the climax of the story, and, of course, the ending. My story starts out with some young adults (number of characters, etc., to follow) who live in conservative small towns, where the citizens do not approve of the people they strive to be. Along the way of trying to make their dreams reality, they just want recognition and acceptance. I want a sort of big climax where it changes their lives and I kinda know how I want to continue the story. I just need a bit of an idea of the problem they are going to be facing, that way I can sort of plan out what else I want to happen around the climax and the resolution of the climax. Also, I kind of got my inspiration from the song This Is War by 30 Seconds To Mars, if that helps you get the idea I'm trying to convey. Thanks for any ideas, and, please, no criticism on my outline. I'm not set on it yet, and my details aren't really the best in the world.
