Why do some people like Halo 3 better than Halo: Reach?

In my opinion halo reach is the best halo by far, but while reading about the new halo anniversary a lot of people sounded disappointed that it wasn't getting it's own multiplayer. They wanted another multiplayer like the original. That would be terrible because the pistol would be WAY too over powered. Then I read all these articles where people like 3 better than reach. Why? Reach is a great game and I don't see how someone could like 3 better. It was great but I think reach is just a better game. It has some awesome stuff. Just want to hear someone else's opinion.
