My family has never been anything close to normal. My sister and I fight with my mom almost everyday and I'm lost. I just want to know what normal moms are like. Are they nice and caring? Do they listen to what you have to say? Do they give up once you disappoint them?

I am sorry for the incomplete question. Actually my sister had a stroke in the year 2004, and she was in coma for 20 days. Later when she opened the eyes she was paralysed. Yeah, that's definitely short man syndrome, and it's the really awkward type since he behaves like a little girl. Your ex probably had an inferiority complex and was extremely uncomfortable with his height. I'd say you really can't blame him for acting that way, but you definitely didn't have to put up with it - tolerating someone trying to steal your place as the woman in the relationship.
